I'm so tired of this bullshit and attempts at justification.

Men don't care, they'll never care. Vote with your dollars and just watch movies by and starring women.

Anyone Delpy is a writer/director now and her 2 Days in Paris and 2 Days in New York movie series is cute and funny as hell.

There was no reason for her not to be paid equally for before sunset and midnight. Given her input in to the role.

pay transparency needs to happen in every industry. i found out yesterday that there was some drama re: that at my work and if pay transparency was common, the fragile white men wouldn't have been so shocked to find out someone was making more than them.

Before I worked at my job old HR person at my job accidentally sent an entire spreadsheet of every person in the company’s pay to everyone in my job’s email (we have probably 500-1000 employees between all the locations). Apparently it caused fights and everything to see how much more some people were making than others for the same jobs

oh god, what a mess! especially for a company that size!

what happened at my work wasn't so egregious but one guy got offered a job elsewhere, told a coworker who was basically like "wtf, why would you be offered THAT much?" and in turn found out the first one was making more than him where we work... and the second guy was technically a lead over the first... and drama ensued so my lead was touchy about someone in our area mentioning her overtime and had to explain why he didn't want us talking too much about hours and pay. ngl, i'd be really pissed if i found out certain (incompetent) people made more than me, especially since none of us in my department had experience in this field beforehand so there should be no bs about that being a factor.

i watched a video about an ice cream shop where all pay is publicly listed for everyone to see and i think that's an awesome idea.

Jobs need to post it and they really need to post it with actual job postings online. I hated interviewing for places only to find out they pay shit
