Richard Linklater’s “Before” trilogy is made up of three critically acclaimed romance films.
The two sequels received Oscar nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay.
The first two installments were made with a pay gap between leading actors Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. 
They acted in 1995’s “Before Sunrise, Delpy was paid maybe a tenth of what Hawke was paid.
They performed and co-wrote 2004’s “Before Sunset” and 2013’s “Before Midnight” with Linklater.
The second movie Delpy was paid half of what Hawke was pid.
The third movie she said if she was not paid the same she was not doing it.
