OP saw this production in September and didn’t love it, but this song was easily the highlight of the show, and a great choice to showcase on TV.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Sturridge said goodbye before their last performance of Sea Wall/A Life, which played its last performance on September 29th. The show, composed of two monologues, ran Off-Broadway at the Public Theater in the winter, and then transferred to Broadway at the Hudson over the summer.

The show is the first of the 2019/2020 season to recoup its investment.
The cast of Freestyle Love Supreme, an improvised musical show currently on Broadway, performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The show has been in previews for the past few weeks, and has its official opening tonight at the Booth Theatre.

Top performers at the box office for last week are all familiar names. Moulin Rouge!, Hamilton, and To Kill a Mockingbird are all putting up stellar numbers, with the soon-to-close Beautiful getting a boost as well.
Linda Vista, The Lightning Thief and The Rose Tattoo are all struggling to find audiences.
