Helen (Rose Byrne) is that woman you hate -- but also want to be. What's the problem of the Bridesmaids antagonist? Why is she incapable of getting what she really wants: friends?

I always wondered why she didn't become a wedding planner or something since she was so bored and so good at that.

Would love a sequel with Helen as a wedding planner and cameos from the other Bridesmaid stars.

Personally I have 3 female "best friends" that I love so so so much. I'm really popular at work for some reason???? but I don't have a lot of like social media friends or anything becuase I really only connect with people that I talk to every day, not people who I once met

I’m very lucky to have wonderful friends that I’ve know anywhere from 20-25 years. And I’m super fortunate that I was born in the earlier eighties before social media was a thing because I am like you. I don’t get the appeal of superficial surface level social media friendships. If I had been born a decade later, I’d probably be friendless.

This pretty much sums up my friendship circle. Few, but super close, and friendly with a lot of others

I don’t have many friends, but it’s my own fault. I find people exhausting and would basically be a hermit if I didn’t have to go to work. Women try to befriend me and I’m always polite but distant, and it’s only now in middle age that I’m occasionally starting to regret that.

I’m the same way. Ppl are too disappointing too. It’s like always waiting for the shoe to drop.

Maya Rudolph's character wasn't a good friend to fight over, anyway.
A moment from the movie I liked was Melissa McCarthy's character showing up to help the protagonist.

I love that scene too. I make myself watch it when I'm feeling all pity party-y.

"I do not associate with people who blame the world for their problems. 'Cause you're your problem, Annie. And you're also your solution. ... You gotta wash your hair."

Yeah I love my friends tbh. It's cliche but your friends rly are the family you get to choose.
