The company had the name first. The owner should be the one allowed to trademark it. The end.

Even still, there are plenty of instances where companies have the same name but if you're in sufficiently different businesses that there is little risk of confusion, it also tends to be fine, depends on what the mark (the image of the name) actually looks like.
IDK, I'm not at all beyhive, but it seems to me like this lady is trying to get a bit of a payday.
