Yes, which is the point of fact checking. You call up everyone named in a book and ask if what’s written is true.....

She didn’t self-publish this on Amazon. It’s from HarperCollins! They probably have like 50 fact checkers on staff.

I'm not sure how easy that is when celebrities are involved. I don't know if her agent could have contacted his, or her lawyer, or anyone else. And for that matter, I don't even know if it's something you really have to do or if it's just good form to attempt to do it
