Warner Bros has released a statement on the controversy regarding ‘JOKER’:

isn't the families of the victims of the Aurora shooting's main complaint is that WB puts money into the NRA? if that's the case they should make that a priority if they're so concerned with better gun control laws.

True and most producers of WB films are MAGA old men... So this is just damage control, I doubt they care about any of this.

The issue is gun control, white men with a self of importance based upon getting everything they want, and mental health support.

But since the government values money over citizens and society is unwilling to think about how certain people are conditioned, talking to a movie studio is the only way people can protest. It's not their fault, but a reflection on how pathetic our society is.

apparently there's a cult surrounding the joker that has expressed an interest in committing violent acts.

no one thinks it's an intentional endorsement - we just know that incel types have 0 critical thinking skills

This.

Not to mention that it's always the same fucking story told when it comes to Joker. He's just misunderstood. Poor him. Other people forced his hand. He had no choice but to be a mass murderer. Blah blah fucking boring ass garbage blah blah there are better Batman villians blah blah.

honestly this is why I'll probably always like the TDK iteration of the character the most. they got that this character isn't enhanced by a ~complex~ background
