It’s ok not to acknowledge 9/11, but to just throw an “always remember” on the back of your NYC OOTD post is tacky/stupid as hell.

I legit don’t get the outrage. Her post really wasn’t about 9-11 and you know what, not everybody is all like OMG 9-11 I must be sure to grieve appropriately and express my feelings in a way that has been deemed socially acceptable by whoever decided that all Americans must revere 9-11. Ugh.

I mean, she was selling designer products in 9/11 remembrance post. That's... pretty tacky.

She could have posted the pic and the first half of the caption and been good, adding the ‘always remember’ a phrase commonly used during 9/11 memorials/mentions, makes it seem inappropriate. Like you said, she should have just not acknowledged 9/11 and kept it moving.

Are you basing this comment on what it says now, or what it originally said?

Because this is clearly about 9-11.

The original caption read, "NYC for 24hrs. And what a time to be here..always remember."

And tagged with what she was wearing.

Getting outraged, sure, not needed. But it's idiotic.

I saw this before she was forced to edit the caption and I couldn’t get over her smirk and the ‘always remember’ at the end.
Is it THAT difficult to run your own instagram or at least proofread before posting?!

This is not offensive. Especially if you’re not from NYC (or DC) on 9/11, it’s pretty comment-worthy to be there on that day.
