It’s wild how the incest on some of these shows are completely normalized, especially on GOT. It was surprising to see so many uptight tumblr fangirls stan for Dany/Jon or Cersei/Jaime but then turn around and gag at ships like Thor/Loki or wincest or something else controversial back in the day.

Also I didn’t finish the chilling adventures of sabrina bc it’s very much not for me, but I’m not surprised at all that Lucifer wants to marry his underaged daughter. I mean... he’s literally the devil.

Tbh, I do not get Wincest but Jon/Dany were total strangers so I did not have an issue. It is not like they grew up together or knew they were close relatives. The nobility in asoiaf is all intermarried just like the European monarchies, marrying a cousin or uncle is normal in universe so it just feels different to me. The Andals/First Men seem to only consider siblings and parent/child incest and an issue for the Faith of the Seven.

The incest in Élite was something I truly didn't need to see...

Lawd I came in here to mention that show.

I was on a Spanish drama kick after binging all 3 parts of La Casa de Papel on Netflix this past Labor Day and moved onto Elite (OT but I felt like I was having hella déjà vu at like 3 of the main characters from LCdP being in Elite lmao) and that incest storyline was...something I was not expecting...

The show is ridiculously fun but that storyline was so unnecessary.

Is anyone watching Carnival Row? The first two episodes were a little tedious?

it was a slog and the graphic violence towards the female characters had me skipping a lot until the later episodes.

the effects vary wildly in quality during the entire season.
