This is dumb. I watch murder mysteries and channels like Oxygen, but renovating a house where a murder happened and making a show of it seems extreme. Unless these murders happened like centuries or decades ago, because I can't imagine being a family member of the victim and seeing this. Maybe I'm just being too sensitive, idk.

I did watch an episode of Buried in the backyard, where this guy was renovating his childhood home and actually ended up finding the body of his missing mother. He was friends with the retired detective who had the initial case and called to tell him what he found. They ended up arresting his dad for the murder, which they always believed he had committed but couldn't prove it until then.

I saw that episode on Dateline! It's so messed up that they never properly searched the property. Like there would've been a fresh grave at the side of the house and they missed that.
