Yeah uh, this sounds unwise. At best it's undignified (why would you WANT to reconnect with someone who rejected you so rudely?) and at worst it's legit dangerous, mostly bc men. Yikes.

Even though it operates the same as catfish the difference is largely that CF is too people currently in relationship in some sort that do want to connect which is better to me than this.

I get being ghosted sucks - I'm all but being it right now with a friend - but I don't think this most of these will come with any true emotional satisfaction. They're not in your life because they just aren't, ok? Plus, what if this person had a fantastic reason to ghost??

i wanna nominate my best friend. lives in california, spent a summer in michigan, and when he was coming back to california this couple that hes known for years said he could crash on their couch for a month or so until he found a place. he arrives to their apartment, the door is wide open, and inside is completely empty. everythings gone. a neighbor said they moved everything out in 48 hours and left for a flight that day. he called and texted them from multiple phones, it seems like they changed their number. we still dont know where they are or wtf happened.

he thought about it but ended up staying in a hostel instead. he was also pissed because his bike was stored with them and that was gone too. his only mode of transportation.

Sounds like that radio show called “Second date update” which admittedly is a guilty pleasure 😅 I love hearing when the men “have no idea” why they are ghosted and then hearing from the girls exactly why and it’s usually amazing
