I do not think I have ever worn socks with sandals. If I have socks on, I put on regular shoes when I go out.

Me too until one day the sandals were handier than regular shoes. I was literally just running out a bag so I did the sandals. It's wildly comfier than you'd expect. You have the sandal protecting your sole, you have the sock hugging your foot with its fuzzy comfiness, and the top straps of the sandals are buffered by the sock. Then when you step outside the fresh air cuts right through the sock so your feet get that nice barefoot breeze but with 100% sole protection.
