She can still fuck right off. That's such a hollow apology. She was SO disrespectful of the entire dance community for this.

Small time actress (She was in Bones for a bit, Big Bang Theory, and some Youtube stuff) Laura Spencer was getting all her hate too

I gotta say, when I saw this was trending on Twitter I thought her comments would be a lot worse.

Regardless, boys should be encouraged to take up traditionally feminine activities and vice versa.

like many professions most of the people the people with clout, choreographers and artistic directors, and most of the people seen as geniuses and worthy of praise are men. straight, somewhat predatory asshole men at fucking that.

like i get why you called it traditionally feminine but the way socialization compares to reality is just fucking with me rn.

It always interests me that so much of society views dance as traditionally feminine. The ballet world alone is absolutely run by men- directed by men, produced by men, funded by men. Even the body standards for it as an aesthetic sport are based on what a man decided a female dancer should look like.

And just like any other industry, bullying and sexual abuse by men is rampant and covered up or goes unpunished.

I’m not digging on you or your comment in any way bc I do understand that it is how people tend to perceive dance- it’s just interesting and sad bc it’s absolutely not accurate. And 100% that boys should be encouraged to pursue whatever their passions are!

i'm! sayin'!

more than once, since i was a kid, i've had authority figures say something inappropriate to me only come to me later to apologize one on one. you didn't disrespect me in private so you're apology should be in kind and i made every single one of them apologize appropriatley.
