Today, a remix of You Need to Calm Down by Clean Bandit was released. Maybe it will help the underperforming single rise from it's current #18 spot on the Hot 100

In spite of all the promo she's been doing for this album, it feels like such a non-event compared to the hype/anticipation surrounding 1989 and Reputation.
omg 1989 she hustled HARD, she was showing up to literally every show that would have her and rattling off the same 2 or 3 talking points (Target deluxe, 5 sets of poloroids, voice memos). I remember she did some Fuse talk show with Nick Lachey lmao she was really going for it.
It's a weird time to release an album if you want to do heavy promo, considering a lot of talk shows are on summer break...
I feel like nothing she's done has made me want to hear what the rest of the album will sound like unlike when she did Target ads with Style and I really wanted to hear the rest of 1989.
I wonder if she's pissed that her ex is on the cover of Rolling Stone during her album launch, when he doesn't even have any new music out... Honestly, it shocked me that they didn't give her a cover for September... maybe it was because she wouldn't agree to a profile and they didn't want another one of her stupid poems
She's on the Vogue's September cover and gave them an interview. There's no way either magazine would be cool with sharing a cover star next month. I'm sure Rolling Stone would have much rather gotten Taylor if she wasn't doing Vogue.
the interview she gave them may as well have been written by her publicist... I don't think Rolling Stone would bend over backwards to give her such a fluff piece
good point on the sharing covers, though the issues don't really overlap (Vogue is already out and has been for a week or more, Rolling Stone comes out September 3rd). Vogue will be on to October soon enough...
