Mia Khalifa reveals she only made $12,000 as an adult film star

People think I’m racking in millions from porn. Completely untrue. I made a TOTAL of around $12,000 in the industry and never saw a penny again after that. Difficulty finding a normal job after quitting porn was... scary. Full interview here: https://t.co/xHK7SmhfrY pic.twitter.com/fwJlyzHznq

And their social media team makes sure to comment on pretty much every pop culture account with people tagging and responding to them. It's gross.

I don’t know who this is and I was honestly so confused at such a low number before the $1k/job part. Porn can make you money but if you don’t stick to it long term there’s no benefit and it’s super detrimental to your career. I always assumed retired porn stars operate in other fields of the job

I think I'm confused. No I know I'm confused lol. I thought it was common knowledge that newbie porn actresses averaged just about $1k a video. ...soo...I guess I'm confused why she's saying that as if she were the only one? It's also common knowledge that finding a job will be very difficult, especially if you involve your real name and sometimes it's not even you who involves it, but others that look you up and plaster that info everywhere. Which again, that comes with the territory-everyone knows about it. Doing porn has the potential to be very damaging to ones future which is why most do not pursue it.

It's true that men brainwash women into thinking they should be fucktoys, but again, we're all given that shpeel-like I feel like an ass for saying it but I really don't get what she's complaining about at all here. She went 100 in a 30 zone and she got a ticket-what are we supposed to do about it. I'm sorry it happened? I'd say don't do porn but that gets slippery fast so idk, idk what she wants.

Didn't get the impression that she was saying or even implying that she was the only one to get paid a starter salary and I don't think the payscale for porn actors is common knowledge at all...

She's not complaining

She is saying people thinks she's got millions when she really doesn't

It’s almost like...the porn industry is highly exploitative of women.

Also I’m not checking for Mia after she called Demi a crackhead and made fun of her substance abuse issues this year, so she can go fuck herself.

I don't like her either. She's said other things and doesn't seem like a nice or intelligent person. And, no, I'm not saying that because she did porn.
