Even further back than that I miss her piano driven music, I still listen to Some People Have Real Problems all the time. I'm happy for her new found fame and success, but I do miss her old work, even with Zero 7. A couple of years ago, me and a friend talked about her 'change' and my friend said she doesn't like her new pop music sound. She liked Colour the Small One/Breathe Me stuff.

soon we'll be found makes me ugly cry still - i really feel your comment. i'm happy she's seeing success but damn does her music really feel empty now compared to what we've gotten from her in the past

your and urfvrtweapon comments are my exact thoughts and feelings when it comes to sia.

she hasn't made an album that i've connected with since we are born. she made so much great music for years, solo and with zero 7, and now...
i hope she comes back to her old sound and writing style eventually: "little black sandals", "lentils", "the girl you lost to cocaine", "drink to get drunk", "the church of what's happening now">>>>>

No lie my hot boy summer has been 🔥🔥. Kicked it off graduating with my second masters, then went to the Bahamas and Miami. I basically decided to distance myself from friends who were super flakey but ice pushed myself to go out alone and go to meetups and it's been wonderful. Now, there are def moments of felling lonely or alone, my boyfriend have been a good comfort and has been pushing me to be at peace with myself, overall supportive.

How about you ye' Christ?

omg! congratulations, that's major! and a supportive man to compliment your accomplishments...? get! it!

putting yourself out there can be tough, but no matter how it goes it's always for the best: you get over the fear of rejection for a time or you make some new friends. either is a win.

so far i haven't melted and that's really all i set my expectation for. i'm in a weird holding pattern right now, but overall i'm good. i've had more fun than i planned for but i don't think i've been as productive as i need to be, but i'm ok with that.

This is the opposite of new music, but it is new to me. I want to check out Joni Mitchell. I've never knowingly listened to her. Where should I start?

Blue! Her most well known album and most iconic.

Instinctively that is the one I had picked!
She and I are going to be fast friends.

if it's new to you it still counts.

i wish more year end lists included music the writers or editors finally got around to listening to and appreciating that year as opposed to only what was released in that calendar year, but year end lists are motivated by money and not artistic appreciation.

I had no idea Little Boots was still making music wow

In terms of new music this week I can't stop listening to Sinead Harnett's new song ft. Gallant, Pulling away. So smooth

i love gallant. zebra and all of his covers are still so ridiculously good.
i hope whatever he releases next is closer to those sounds, but i think whatever he releases will be more pop and feature heavy.
