Oh, I've been seeing through TLC's lies for a long time. I think the first time it was really in-your-face (to me, at least) was our introduction to the family chantal. On the regular 90 day fiance (idk what the rate is for the happily ever after shows), the US citizen gets 1k per episode (according to the crazy ebay reseller and his also crazy brazilian wife from the first or second season).
