Justin Bieber’s #PurposeWorldTour choreographer/dancer, who also happens to be Ellen Page’s wife, slams the singer for allegedly paying her ‘less than minimum wage’ while working for him:

love them both. ellen's career is on life support and bieber's and chris pratt's are thriving, the world isn't fair.

She was just in that Netflix show Umbrella Academy, I think her career is fine. I always felt like she was more an indie queen than a Hollywood budget movie star.

she's on 2 shows on netflix and has that special where she went around the world interviewing gay people and highlighting the gay community in those regions.

I have no trouble believing this tbh. He seems entitled as hell, and he's in a cult, after all. They're all about ripping people off!

problematic people (Carl Lentz/Hillsong, Scooter, Chris Brown)

ABUSIVE. The word is abusive.

I think he's always been a shithead because he had terrible parents and any possibility he may have had to be a different person was lost when he dropped out of middle school and was handed millions and millions of dollars.

But in retrospect, yeah, the way he was treated when he was younger was really bizarre and messed up. Like there were literal years where an entire area of "comedy" for adult men was to just mock this kid endlessly in really homophobic and misogynistic ways because he hadn't gone through puberty yet.

i honestly think the start of expunging prejudices in our jokes/comedies (or cancel culture, i guess) came from Justin Bieber cracking from all of the pressure. Like, once it was demonstrated to the world that words can hurt even straight white men, something had to be done.

I kind of feel like it had more to do with the rise of Tumblr. That entire system basically was designed to allow people to call each other out and you had a lot of young, mostly female users doing that and not really having to worry as much about all the conversations being dominated by shitty internet men as you would on most places on the internet like Reddit or whatever.

The Bieber thing kind of just petered off on when he started getting arrested and stuff and I don't think there was really ever any real backlash to it.
