The musical, based on the iconic film of the same name, will open in the UK capital in the winter of 2020, with venue, cast and dates to be confirmed

So they're just turning EVERYTHING into a musical these days.

It was already a musical here on Broadway. I think they're just transferring it to London.

It was awful. The only good part was the singer in the part where they go to the opera.

The music is sooooo god awful. They went way to hard in trying to channel the late 80's early 90's music genre without capturing anything good about the period. All the songs were horribly generic with terrible lyricism. Samantha Barks brought none of Julia's charm or appeal to the role. It was one of the worst musicals produced in recent memory.
