oh no. I loved the first 5 seasons of Veep (haven't seen 6 & 7) and I don't mind the pod save guys but the concept of these people being together feels very cursed

Ugh, that’s so disappointing but not surprising. This season was awful. Those stupid eating disorder jokes towards Amy, making Amy basically Kellyanne Conway, Selina’s over the top cruelty to Catherine (which was getting worse and worse), etc. So bad.

I listen to PSA, but ever since someone said here that they are personification of boat shoes, it's all I can think off. They're so white in the way they talk, think and see the world it's so off-putting.

I think they're pretty self-aware about it though. Like the other commenter said, it was actually Lovett who started the Human Boat Shoe thing. And their company does make an effort to uplift the voices of people who aren't white men. They're coming out with a new podcast next Monday that is being hosted by a Cherokee woman that is about tribal land rights in Oklahoma.
