Little Fires Everywhere just pulled out too. My friend was supposed to work on it and she's pissed, but I keep telling her that big picture, it's a good thing. Especially for Reese to be taking a stand.

Yea it sucks for people who lose out but honestly there is no way to create change without that happening to someone.

that's how boycotts work

how do you suppose they boycott then?

they can work at ATT and Walmart in the meantime, they supported and funded the politicians who supported this bill.

then those people in georgia who don't support it need to organize and make sure their local media, and local and state politicians understand and have heard them, that they don't support the bill. they need to make sure they are actively working against those who are trying to force women to be literal property of the state. these southern states worked in a block, and all those in states who didn't support their bills need to make their presence known. and i mean KNOWN.

don't be a child, you know how economics work and those being hurt temporarily won't be hurt nearly as much as those who might face life in prison for not giving birth to a rapists baby, or just because shock and horror (sarcasm) they just don't want to have a fucking kid and be a goddamn broodmare.

big. fucking. picture. they are counting on people caring more about themselves than anyone else. it's what republicans do best while so many democrats sit on their asses.

Good, I think. There have been people in Georgia asking people not to boycott but rather donate and obviously donating is important but I do not underestimate the importance of a public backlash and an actual loss of revenue . Politicians have no soul but they love money. Take that away and maybe they'll actually think twice. I would much rather they repealed the law than risk the Supreme Court.

money means more than values, so let's fight back with what matters most to these soulless fucks.
