Fucking Kreese. I agree. UGH....

Also

[Link to spoiler]I cried during Episode 6 when Tommy died and I straight up Ugly cried at the end of Episode 10. I never expected to care about Miguel so much. That hurt man. I actually screamed out when he went over the balony and when he landed I cringed so hard. My heart breaks for him. Oh and don't even get me started on how bad my heart hurts for Johnny. His own son nearly killed his chosen son. He lost Miguel's mom, Cobra Kai and almost lost Miguel all in one day.

I absolutely agree about Miguel. I've liked him since the beginning; I thought Xolo brought so much charisma, humour and naivety to the role in season one that was immediately endearing. But there was just something about him this season, the maturity and depth he brought (the scene between him and Sam and Robby at the rollerskate party is a great example) and the bond between him and Johnny this season that was just amazing to watch. Both him and Billy did amazing in their scenes together (ugh that scene of Johnny listening to the voice mail - a punch right in the feelies).

He absolutely became one of my most favourite characters this season.

IKR? I love Miguel so much. Also [Link to spoiler]the maturity Miguel showed when he returned the Medal Of Honor. He went to the LaRusso's to give that to them personally and that couldn't have been easy for him, given his history with Sam and Daniel not liking him and to give it Robby and tell him, not all of us are assholes. Showed just how far he has come. I was so scared they were gonna turn him dark after the beach party with Sam/Robby and the fighting dirty in the tournament (I don't blame him for that, because he did do what Johnny taught him) luckily both learned their lessons from that. It was so great to see Miguel turn it all around. Those reasons are why it killed me at the end to see that happen to him.

I didn't even know this was a thing until I saw a commercial during the BBMA.

If you love the Karate Kid, you will love this. Honestly, I still think if you don't really like the Karate Kid, you would still love this show. It really is that good. The whole entire cast is wonderful. Right now you do have to pay for the series (unless you do the free trial) but episode 1 and 2 from the first season are free on youtube. I would recommend watching them just to get an idea of the show. They're enough to get you hooked, honestly. Both are really good eps and gives you an idea of where Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence are at in their lives 35 years later.

Y'all making me want to check it out.  I pay for YouTube. I got it for my daughter's birthday last year because that's all she looks at.

Do it. The episodes are barely 30 minutes long and there's only 10 episodes per season - but it tells an amazingly complete story and shows amazing character development for being such a short series.

I did not expect S2 to hit as hard as it did. My poor Johnny at the end of it all. I just hope they actually manage to get Elizabeth Shue to show up after that last scene. Ali's a doctor now, right? And Miguel needs the best he can get, so... Make it happen, people!

[Link to spoiler]Yep. Ali is a pediatric surgeon and since Miguel is only 16, it would make sense. I've been wondering how she would come into play though. She is in an entirely different state and Johnny or Daniel randomly messaging her about Miguel seems kinda stretched. I did see rumors Tory is her daughter/stepdaughter. Since she is Miguel's girlfriend, maybe she reaches out to Ali about Miguel. All I know is, it's gonna be rough watching Miguel recover. That shit hurt to watch happen to him.

I keep thinking of the typical show scenario where the doctors "fly in an expert". Of course Carmen wouldn't be able to afford it but either Ali could decide to come anyway or a certain someone else would pay, if only for Sam and because he doesn't realize who said expert is. And imagine that twist! Daniel being partially responsible for Johnny and Ali reuniting. And I agree. I kept hearing about the fall before I could watch but I didn't expect THAT. I also want to know just how many teachers got fired for that fight lasting so long and how the principal could still have a job and how Stingray isn't in jail. Hell, between the teachers and expelled students, there might have to be a whole new high school next year - which might be the one thing to make me laugh after everything.

That fight was insane and those teaches who chose to stand by "because they don't get paid enough" or the security guard only rounding up the tiny kids, is part of the reason it escalated to the point it did and [Link to spoiler]nearly cost Miguel his life.

Also, I get Stingray is there for comic relief, but he should definitely be in jail for assault.

That sucks you were spoiled. Might be a good thing though, because seeing that unspoiled and unexpected nearly made me jump out of my skin. My heart so pounding so hard. I was crying and so mad at Robby. LOL

A part of me still can't hate, hate Robby though. I mean, I did for like 30 minutes after watching the finale, but the kid has no one now and is definitely gonna be public enemy No. 1 from this point on.

I feel so vindicated because I always knew Robby wasn't shit and hated him. I hope the writers elevate the characters past these weird black/white caricatures though, I'm a little tired of it. I was so into Johnny (slowly) evolving and would like it if no one really regressed for the sake of DRAMA

If I'm being honest. I would have loved Miguel/Robby's rivalry to be focused more on it being about Johnny, rather then Sam. I do feel Johnny has a lot to do with it, but they have made it seem more about Sam this season. Johnny's son vs his chosen son is a bit more intriguing to me, then a triangle involving Daniel's daughter. I don't necessarily hate it, but still.

yeaaaahhhh... it's like fine but a teenage love triangle is just so well-trodden that a focus on Johnny would've been more interesting, but I suppose they also decided that Daniel/Robby/Johnny was already the father/son triangle
