Yes, I am replying to my thread, but I have so many thoughts. I will say, Johnny and Miguel, hands down is the best part of Season 2, just like in Season 1.
The rest I'm putting under a spoiler cut, in case people haven't watched all 10 episodes yet.
[spoiler rant ahead]The end scene with Miguel made me jump out of my seat, yell, gasp and cry like a bitch. I was not expecting him to get hurt like that. My heart breaks for Johnny. I can't imagine how torn in two his heart must be. His son and his CHOSEN son. Wow, that has to be a tough spot. I never gave up on Miguel, even with what happened at the All Valley tournament with Robby and with Sam. I always knew he would not go completely dark. Glad I was right

[Spoiler (click to open)] I'm really worried about Robby right now. The kid's totally in the wind. Between the LaRusso's kicking him out and knowing he's injured Johnny's surrogate son, he has no one, and he knows it. I really hope someone that he can rely on has his back. Which brings me to...
Fucking Daniel LaRusso. I'm behind what he was trying to accomplish with Miyagi-Do, but he needs to level up HARD on letting the past be the past. You won dude. You got the title, the great life, the hot wife--so build a bridge and GET OVER IT with the high school shit. And FFS, stop yanking poor Robby Keene around. That's twice now that Robby's fucked up, in Daniel's estimation (which is debatable, imo) and Daniel's just summarily kicked him out of his life. It seems to me he cares less about Robby and more about trying to play out this fantasy he has of being the second coming of Mr. Miyagi.
I haaaaaate Tory with a Y. Hate her. I really didn't want to go in hating the young female character who was clearly set up to be the bad guy, but

[spoiler]If Elisabeth Shue doesn't return for S3. I doubt she will come back at all. I'm still hoping that text is a yes, she is coming back. Since Ali is a doctor. It would be interesting if she ended up being Miguel's Doctor. Talk about awkward for Johnny. Ali and Miguel's mother interacting. I think it would be interesting

Oh don't apologize for the tl;dr. I, like you, justhavealotoffeelings.gif re: Cobra Kai S2.
[Spoiler (click to open)]I bet you're right about Ali coming back to be Miguel's doctor. Ouch. That whole thing is going to be heart-breaking. I wonder if part of the season will be about Miguel rehabbing from his injury. Either way, what comes next is going to be painful (though I really do think Miguel will survive--the creators know where their bread is buttered).
It really bothered me that NO ONE wondered where Robby was afterwards. Poor kid! Please Ali come back and smack some sense into all of these so-called "adults" (with the exception of Amanda LaRusso and Carmen Diaz, they get it).
I cannot believe they put Tommy in a BODY BAG....and I cannot believe I didn't catch that nod to the original until you pointed it out! That whole scene broke my heart. My friend and I watched it together and we both cried. So well done. Poor Dutch, locked up in Lompoc, lol

I think Season 1 is better too. Mainly because it was more humorous mixed with drama and it mainly focused on Johnny and Miguel, who I think are the best part of the entire series. They are a joy to watch together. Season 2, I think is great too, but IMHO, it went dark a little too quick for my taste.
[spoiler]Like, I'm still upset over Miguel. It caught me off gaurd. I was not expecting the show to take this turn or even have a main character injured in that type of way, only the 2nd season in. My heart was pounding and all I could do was gasp/cry when he was falling, cause I knew he was gonna be hurt badly. Then that landing was gut wrenching for me.
I feel if the show took this dark of a turn, this soon, as build up to bring Ali back then I won't be so mad. She is a doctor and if she somehow ties into Miguel's recovery, then okay, if not, then the show went dark for no reason and it was unnecessary. That's really my only complaint with Season 2. The tone taking a shift and the OTT karate moves.

I need to stay out of this post I'm so close and it already made me cry in episode 6
Which I will maintain at the moment that it's the best of the series so far
