i'm not making excuses for him, i just can't stand it when people who want our government to be MORE progressive, then decide to let the LEAST progressive party become the leaders out of spite that aforementioned party was not ... more progressive. it's completely antithetical to what people say they want. it sucks but he's our best option right now. allowing scheer to become prime minister because she want trudeau to be more progressive doesn't make any sense. it's a giant step backwards. it'd be great if we could get a different liberal leader to vote for, but that's not happening before the next federal election. he's not going to step down. the NDP also don't have a chance in hell of winning.

After what happened in Alberta, I have no doubt in my mind that people will throw every last moral out the window just to "get rid of Trudeau" and elect Scheer, who in my mind will not be a better alternative for anyone who isn't older, straight and white. I fucking hate what's happening in Canadian politics right now.
