I'm enjoying this, particularly Michelle's old schooly Transatlantic accent. It bothered me a little when Gwen was like "Can she act?" about Liza in the first ep, because in real life Liza had already won her Tony and had her first Oscar nom by the time she was cast in Cabaret. But that's just a minor thing.
On a side-note, I didn't realize until earlier this week Ann Reinking played Grace Farrell in Annie.
Lol, even less comments than the low, low number I had previously anticipated!
I'm really digging this show so far. They are clearly sparing no expense for the production of these numbers; they look fantastic! And I am really loving the frenetic pace of the editing - the hour goes by so damn fast!
I've liked all of the supporting cast, but Michelle has been the standout. The scene in episode two [Spoiler (click to open)]after Gwen realizes how sick Joan McCracken is and tries to avoid Bob was so damn good. And remember yesterday, when we were talking about Kit and Emilia not having chemistry?? These two have chemistry. In the scene where they meet for the first time, you could feel the tension.
