My best friend got a car that only had a tape deck in it and she was so obsessed with Natalie’s “Goin’ Crazy” when it came out, that she recorded it back to back and whenever she drove (which was often because she was the only one with her own car) that’s all we could listen to lol. I haven’t yet figured out if this is a happy or traumatic memory.

In 2005 I was leaving my ~hXc, metalcore~ era and was v much into my indie hipster shit. I just graduated high school and was working at Urban Outfitters, so I listened to a lot of what they played: We Are Scientists, Bloc Party, She Wants Revenge, Interpol, Metric. Lots of 80s shit too-I learned of Siouxsie and the Banshees thanks to one of my managers.

I only know three of these. I don't think the other ones were hits here. Crazy Frog reminds me of being in Canterbury in a graveyard reading an NME interview with Chris Martin, where he's asked how it feels to get pushed off the No 1 by a frog. Jerk It Out reminds me of my former really close friend who was obsessed with everything Swedish and moved there, and who hurt me like only really good friends can. The Bravery was ... mainly me realizing The Killers weren't actually that bad. Man, I hated being a teenager.

An Honest Mistake is probably in my top 100 songs of all time, I love it!

I've never heard of most of these, and I only know Breathe from the bomb episode of Grey's Anatomy.
