I can understand keeping movies from streaming services in the category for "best made for TV movie".

Roma played in US theaters for 3 months and won Oscars. It was not a "made for TV movie," and neither was Mudbound or Beasts of the Southern Wilds. They are movies the same as The Favourite and every other Oscar-nominated film.

Actress Julianne Moore: "On the one hand change happens all the time and we adapt. On the other hand there are valid and beautiful ways to view films that are disappearing."

Huh? Does she think all the movie theaters are getting torn down or something?

this is her full quote

“There are two sides to the story,” Julianne Moore told Variety at the premiere of her new film “Gloria Bell.” “On the one hand change happens all the time and we adapt. On the other hand there are valid and beautiful ways to view films that are disappearing. I don’t like conflict… I think, don’t we all want an opportunity to make beautiful things and celebrate them.”

He knows Scorsese is going hard for next year's Oscar with his Netflix film so instead of you know, making a great movie to compete with it he's just throwing a tantrum.

mte! i think he's going hard this year bc he knows it won't be as easy to campaign against a scorsese movie starring robert de niro as it was to campaign against roma

I hope the Scorsese movie is great. Netflix is gonna pour money into an awards campaign for it. Spielberg is really going hard because Roma won so many major awards
