They're a seven member rap/r&b kpop boyband that were the ones to break through the cultural barrier - it was going to be someone, I am as surprised as anyone that it was them and I'm a fan. They've made history with their latest few releases by having #1 billboard projects back to back and selling 1 million copies of each and for better or worse have become the kpop group North America's most embraced (#JusticeForWonderGirls)

Moreover their stans go all out and they are a guaranteed ratings boost so award shows have been clamoring to get them here. IIRC they're nominated for packaging on one of their releases? ANY excuse Grammys!
