Joyride as an album was quite a disappointment after her other stuff - though the title track and "Salt" were phenomenal. I want to root for her but she worked with R. Kelly and I don't think she ever explained why.

joyride is solid. it's not her best work but it's still good. revisit it now that the hype is over.

afaik her collaboration with r. kelly was because of rca (r. kelly was signed to rca and sony at the time). the same with her collaboration with chris brown and offset and "flame" being a single. those were all her label's choices, which she fought against and lost.
