January 20, 2019 After a turbulent 5 years,
iigoru Tinashe has reportedly parted ways with RCA Records and Sony Music. If you visit her
artist page on the label’s official website, a “404 page not found” error loads. Tinashe and RCA have yet to officially confirm the split, however.
In 2017, she hired a legal team at LaPolt Law in West Hollywood, California to force her label to release her second album, Joyride. And last Summer producer Hitmaka revealed that the Sony label had blocked new music and the release of Nashe, her third studio album.
Nashe will be playing Mimi in the Live Musical production of RENT airing on Fox on Sunday, January 27th at 8/7c (remember, Nashe thrives after 6PM).
