I struggle not only w/ the clips from the scrapped DWUW video, but also the few live performances they did together of the song were ... ugh. She had to have known about all the allegations/FACTS, and I think she even knew the overtly sexual tones would be ~edgy and ~controversial due to his very past. It was a very poor calculation that reflects her judgment imo.

Now it certainly is possible she's changed her mindset and evolved as a person, but her continued silence on the matter says more than anything.

I highly doubt she has as well. I think she's learned to publicly distance herself from abusers, but still probably believes R. Kelly deserves a second chance. I wonder if she's still BFFs with Terry Richardson.

It's still insane to me to think GaGa did a song with him.

I always thought Kels was trash. My reason for declining the RKelly docu that I support 10000000 percent is I didn’t wanna be in the “good times” portion of the doc, like stanning for his “genius”. I was asked to talk about his genius. I do not nor have I EVER stanned for him. https://t.co/HEtMzHebgV

Just wanna make that abundantly clear in a non “he doth protest too much” way. That quote makes it look like I’m protecting him. I’m thinking “damn I don’t wanna be the one guy I always am in documentaries fawning over someone I detest. So make ZERO mistake on my positioning.

I'm glad he spoke up about his reasons for declining.

So hampton couldn’t mention that part? Why misrepresent what people wouldn’t agree to...

Glad he clarified. I retract my judgement.

I wouldn't expect them to do anything for a Lifetime docu.
