The San Diego Film Critics Society decided they wanted to be a bit different than the other critics circuits awarding 'Roma' best picture, and chose the critically-acclaimed 'Leave No Trace' as best picture (and best director).

Could Debra Granik get an Oscar nod?? I was lurking Awards Watch and someone said that since 1990, only 3 directors who won LAFCA missed an Oscar nod, and one was ineligible.

leave no trace was really good but all i could think about was how much better it could have been if ben foster wasn't in it :( he's always either hammy as fuck or totally wooden to me and thomasin deserved a better screen partner!!!!
