With social media and the internet, I don't see how this could be a big draw, but it's their money.

I read the Dave Holmes (former MTV VJ) book Party of One recently, and I loved reading his perspective on the MTV Spring Break/Summer Beach House stuff.

I mean it was appealing back then cause you had no other access other than the channel but what the top commentor said.....social media and internet seems to make MTV irrelevant in terms of a #1 entertainment news source.

The VMAs themselves seems to be on its last legs too.
