No Ari? Hmmmmmt. ETA Unless she's in the ....and more category. The benefit concert equivalent of plus one at a distant cousin's second wedding.

she definitely wasn't in the headspace to accept something like this when they were planning and i also don't think she or his family would want the "ariana grande pays tribute to DEAD EX MAC MILLER after SPLITTING WITH PETE DAVIDSON" rhetoric to overshadow the good they're trying to do, plus the fact that bots and her stans would have wiped out the tickets before people who really wanted to show up for his memory had a chance to. having her as a surprise guest might be nice but advertising with her on the bill would have def been the wrong move all the way around

She'd end up overshadowing it

i still can't believe he's gone. i'm sad i never got to see him live, his growth as a writer and artist was such an amazing thing to watch and from the way literally everyone spoke about him even when he was still alive, he seemed like a gem.

A huge regret of mine was going to see Banks at Coachella instead of him. I figured I’d have a better chance of seeing him live sooner as his hometown is 2 hours from Cleveland.

Banks was great but I’ll never get to see him live.

ugh, that sucks. i had a lot of near-misses with him, where he would be playing my city while i was out of town, or i had tickets for something else, or whatever, and when the swimming tour was announced i made up in my mind that i wasn't gonna miss out this time for anything, and now all i have are those thoughts of "man i should've gone..."

A celebration of life? He died at 26.
