Oh, I want to see Free Solo.

I've been trying to catch up on #52 Films by Women. I'm sure I'll hit 52, but last year I tripled it and I think doubled it the year before that. Just have had some setbacks in life this year.

But what I watched, all on Netflix:

The Land of Steady Habits, directed by Nicole Holofcener

Reversing Roe, directed by Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg

Nappily Ever After, directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour

What'd you think of Reversing Roe?

Well, be warned it does have the opposing viewpoints in it, although I wouldn't say it's meant to give them legitimacy. It's pretty depressing, since even if Roe stays in place, so many states are reducing women's rights in that regard. I was surprised by some of the history...like both Regan and George H.W. Bush being pro-choice before they were president. I think it's worth a watch.

I've actually seen Queercore! At a film festival last year. Director was there too. It was great, and I loved how he paid homage to the feminist/riot grrl influence. Would rec

Ahhh, cool! I saw it premiered a while ago, I figured it must have taken them a bit to find distribution.

Alex is an incredible climber. Well, so is Jimmy.
