Why would a network bring back a show the was canceled due to poor ratings in it's first few seasons?

There's a lot delusion going around ONTD and social media.

Pushing Daisies is one of my favorite shows, but I'm not sure I'd want it to come back. I'm fine with rewatching the same 2 seasons over and over. I wouldn't want a reboot to screw it up (tho I would still probably watch one if it did).

This is an idea I can get behind. A whole season, sadly, not so much. I'd be too scared would mess the series up. Or Bryan does why Bryan does and abandon ship as soon as he doesn't get his way.
