but the best biographies/memoirs i've read have been about old hollywood: "self-portrait" by gene tierney, "natasha: the biography of natalie wood" by suzanne finstad, "ava gardner: love is nothing" by lee server and "ava gardner: the secret conversations" by peter evans. SO GOOD.

The Theranos book, Bad Blood, is really good. The most striking thing isn’t how Holmes lied and conned everyone, which she did, almost from the beginning. But how willingly people delude themselves and ignore the voices telling them something’s wrong. pic.twitter. ( ... )
