"brain on fire" was AMAZING. such a fascinating story.

but the best biographies/memoirs i've read have been about old hollywood: "self-portrait" by gene tierney, "natasha: the biography of natalie wood" by suzanne finstad, "ava gardner: love is nothing" by lee server and "ava gardner: the secret conversations" by peter evans. SO GOOD.

Yes 'Brain on Fire' was so good! I read that last year and it stuck with a while.

i think chloe moretz was supposed to star in the movie? or maybe it was dakota fanning? terrible casting either way.

I think I've read only one biography my entire life, it was about Amon Goeth (he was portrayed by Ralph Fiennes in Schindler's List).

Really? Idk, I mostly stick to thriller/action books. Medical thrillers are great as well!

I know this doesn't count but I need somewhere to talk about how badly I can't wait to read the book on Theranos/Elizabeth Holmes. like...it's crazy she's not in prison.

The Theranos book, Bad Blood, is really good. The most striking thing isn’t how Holmes lied and conned everyone, which she did, almost from the beginning. But how willingly people delude themselves and ignore the voices telling them something’s wrong. pic.twitter.
