I have been a flop with this reading challenge, but this is by far my favorite theme! I might try to actually participate this time, I have been wanting to read Rebecca for ages.

I loved The Remains of the Day.

I didn't get Americanah from my library until a few days ago so I'm a bit behind on March's pick but I'm stuck between Lolita and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, since the latter's been on my to-read list forever.

This reading challenge has been a lot of fun so far for me; in January and February I read a few more books on top of what I had for my challenge and I finally got a library card so I could save myself some money. (Also being able to check out e-books is kinda neat.)

I'm super excited for the Great American Read this summer, too!

I plan on reading His Bloody Project and also Chris Bohjalian's new book, The Flight Attendant. I really like Bohjalian's writing based on the two books I read by him.

But I'm really behind on my reading right now. I didn't even read Beloved in March for the March theme. Sigh. It's ok, I'll catch up!

My goal is to read 30 books by the end of this month. At long as I finish my current book, I'll be good.

Oh, glad you're liking it! I've read The Sleepwalker and Skeletons at the Feast. The Sleepwalker was a really good mystery, I liked the main character. Skeletons was very good WWII historical fiction, but absolutely heartbreaking.

can i be a little OT? i have these books on my shelf i haven't read yet and i need help picking one to read next: My Brilliant Friend - Elena Ferrante, Cat's Cradle - Kurt Vonnegut, or Mrs Dalloway - Virginia Woolf

i'm leaning towards My Brilliant Friend because i could use some italy vibes to distract from NY's bad March weather

I admittedly have not read Ferrante or Vonnegut but I am a huge fan of Woolf so Mrs. Dalloway would be my pick.
