Since of course three days after this year's Oscars is hardly too early, and everyone was disappointed as fuck at this year's winners, let's just look ahead. Decider's got a really long thing over why certain movies/actors might be front-runners (I loved Black Panther, but it's gonna get the same going-nowhere hype that Wonder Woman did last year). I'll just break it down:

Best Picture/Acting/Directing possibilities:

-- A Star Is Born (the Bradley Cooper & Gaga remake)
-- First Man (Ryan Gosling & Damien Chazelle teaming up for the Neil Armstrong biopic)
-- Untitled Dick Cheney Film (starring Academy faves Christian Bale, Amy Adams & Sam Rockwell)
-- If Beale Street Could Talk (Barry Jenkins' follow-up to Moonlight)
-- Boy Erased (starring Aussie Oscar winners Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman, and Lucas Hedges in the titular role)
-- On the Basis of Sex (the RBG biopic starring Felicity Jones, Armie Hammer and Justin Theroux)
-- Widows (Steve McQueen's follow-up to 12 Years a Slave, with one hell of a fucking amazing cast: Viola Davis, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Rodriguez, Tony-winner Cynthia Erivo, Colin Farrell, Liam Neeson, Daniel Kaluuya, Andre Holland, Robert Duvall, Carrie Coon, and Jackie Weaver).
-- Roma (Alfonso Cuaron's follow-up to Gravity)
-- The Best of Enemies (Taraji P. Henson starring as a civil rights activist going against Sam Rockwell... playing yet another racist piece of shit, though this time for the KKK!).
-- Gloria (A Fantastic Woman's Oscar-winning director's Sebastian Lelio’s upcoming movie starring Julianne Moore)
-- Mary, Queen of Scots (who doesn't love a British monarchy period piece, and this one starring two of this year's best actress nominees Margot Robbie & Saoirse Ronan)
-- The Wife (huge buzz for Glenn Close already - is it about time she's finally winning?)
-- Beautiful Boy (drug-addiction hella melodrama starring Steve Carell & Timothée Chalamet)

Bookmarking this shit because I bet this will be at least 20% on the mark.
