i didn't know this until recently - there are 6 districts in my city of Austin. this city is apparently the most gerrymandered city for it's population in the country. we even have a district that goes from Austin down to san Antonio (which is an hour away) it explains why our mayor is blue but all the other reps are GOP.

I just realized last night my county is split among 3 districts, and it's so weird to me how I can drive 10 minutes in either direction and be in a different district, but still be in the same county and almost the same city. It's crazy. I don't feel represented by my congressman. He always talks about Fairfax (richer part of the district) but we all elect him. I don't know, I don't understand, but it's fucked up
