More college news.

I got into Elon in North Carolina. YAY! First choice school AND a $3750 scholarship. Uh, can you say "w00t"? I got into Loyola Marymount University in LA and University of Denver in well, Denver. My dad really wants me to stay in Colorado, but uh. I don't want to.

I'm leaving in a few days to go check out TCU.

Let me know your plans. Maybe I could at least suggest a good place for dinner, or meet you on campus. I'm afraid I would be oohing and aahhing over the changes they've made recently. They've added quite a bit. Remember, only computer science majors even knew what email was when I was in college.

If it's during the week, I could hook up in the afternoon for coffee or something, or I could take you on a brief tour of Ft. Worth proper, downtown and the Stockyards, etc. The options are endless.

I am a Horned Frog Alum, after all, and my husband has two degrees from there.

Still, I would understand if your folks were iffy about hooking up with a 34 year old woman with two kids in tow...;)

BTW, what's your proposed major?

Yeah, 34-year-old woman isn't so much the problem. My dad met a guy whose whole family went to TCU and apparently, he's hooking up with him for golf or something. The problem is that I met you online and my family definitely isn't ignorant to the dangers of the internet.

And besides, I'm only going for a visit in the morning then leaving on a plane for Florida that afternoon. :(

But still, if I go there we'll definitely meet up!

You could recommend a few resturants. That I'm not opposed to. :)

I'm not sure. Maybe something with writing, history, or teaching. Definitely some kind of business degree. I've been raised with business so it seems the most practical choice.

Sounds like you're getting into some great colleges... I'm so proud! ;) My uncle went to TCU, btw.
