Matthew will be fab as Birt.

I'm most curious as to who will play Jim Reston. Though if Morgan cuts the narration, Reston won't have much left to do. I love this play with all my heart - Langella had me crying in the second half - but I'm not sure how the narration will come across on film. Not sure how the interviews will come across, either. The benefit of the staging is that one can watch the body language of the person not on camera.

I still can't wait, though - this script completely blew me away when I read it last year, and it's even better in person. Langella is Tony material, and Mickey is his usual necessary support. He's perfect, but it isn't the flashy role. But like The Queen, Mickey performance is necessary for the flashy role to shine so brightly. Those kinds of roles are actually more necessary - and more difficult, IMO - than the flashy roles, but they never get the respect deserved at award nomination time.
