OH... that was a fricking close call for everyone involved. Loved that you managed to keep the canon and still twist it in a way that doesn't make it the ultimate betrayal from Merlin to Arthur (I think at least) I'm still thinking and thinking what you'll do with the prince that can't be king if things are to work out. I haven't found a solution to that one yet.

I'm really enjoying this story, I was excited to see a new chapter up! I love the whole concept, and your characterisation of Arthur is magnificent. And his relationship with Merlin is wonderful :) Great re-interpretation of Sins of the Father as well, it's one of my favourite eps, and I think you did it justice.

Also, I loved the little conversation at the end between Merlin and Morgana. It was rather chilling, actually, but in the best possible way.

Loved how you kept to canon and yet it wasn't. Loved the talk between Madog and Arthur. It was warm and loving and really fit well into this story. Loved the last line!

I'm still in love with this fic and how you twist canon into this alternative universe. I love the royal family's interaction in here, and the fact that both Madog and Arthur knew that their father had some responsibility to their mother's death.
