Actually, the hoax was good, the journalists incompetent. Guy didn't even intend it as a real hoax, was just bored at work so started a Q&A thread to see what advice he'd get. Given he was posting using his real name which is linked to his github and linked in account and both link to his-fully functional and working-company website...
