So, I really love In His Image by daasgrrl. She does this fabulous thing where she mixes the characters to create a John who is not quite John, but still completely recognizable, then places him into the "real" world. A world in which he meets a strangely familiar actor, who is starring in a strangely familiar television show...and then things really start

That original pic is... slightly frightening, granted. However, if you had the same differing backgrounds and ran a thick black line through the middle it might work? Or not, lol. I've long been fascinated by the striking difference between BC and Sherlock (not his other roles so much, specifically Sherlock) and that pic does kind of just about cover it!

Fantastic illustration for a fantastic story! You did wonderfully with depicting the two as separate individuals yet clearly recognizable as the same person, if that makes any sense. The background adds so much to it, really enhances the coloring and the whole mood. Lovely art!

I love that fic and love this illustration - though honestly I think I prefer the original! Separate backgrounds might enhance it, but I like it as is, too. :)
