Oh, this story. It's so beautiful and it's been such a pleasure to be part of the process. I love the way you get their urgency across, the absolutely irresistible attraction, the breathlessness and pain and confusion. And I still think the phone sex is ASEDFDFFRGDGDGSD hot.
This story was amazing. I absolutely adored it, from start to finish - the slow return of the memories, the way you used the art, the gorgeous works provided by your artist. I particularly liked how others remembered as well, that there was the tension of history with Morgana and it wasn't all easy.
The other major part was the unbearable tension between Merlin and Arthur from the second they met. The desperation and guilt and mental anguish were just so strong, so well depicted. Beautiful.
Oh wow, thank you so much! I was so very lucky to have such gorgeous art. I just feel like she took the scenes and created EXACTLY what I had in my head, and it was such a joy to see that on the page.
I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the story, and particularly that the history and the tension worked for you. Thank you so much for letting me know what you thought :)
Phew! That was incredibly hot and extraordinarily intense. The absolute need and want that Merlin and Arthur had for each other was amazing and I adored the way you wove it all in with the flashbacks. The artwork was fabulous too and I loved the way it was such an intrinsic part of the story. Gorgeous writing throughout with the emotions coming through so strongly and Merlin and Arthur's relationship being almost like a force of nature. Terrific story. Thanks so much.
I'm really pleased the intensity and the need and want came across and re the art, I am absolutely floored by what goss created and it is absolutely intrinsic to the story.
It means a lot that you felt the relationship was almost a force of nature, because that is definitely how I see them. Thank you so much for letting me know what you thought.
Oh God. I was completely riveted the whole time, this story is just so bloody INTENSE. Infidelity is a tricky terrain for me, and I usually avoid reincarnation, but this was outstanding and magnificent and generally jaw-dropping and pulse-quickening. I am so relieved things worked out with Gwaine. He's such a sweetheart, hurting him just feels too painful.
As for Merlin and Arthur... Guh. That tension. Cut with a knife, resolved, unresolved alike. So them, and electric, and all that past, and the two of them unable to stay away, to keep their hands off each other, Arthur's possessiveness, Merlin's vulnerability and fear... I have no words for how glorious it was.
Oh wow, I'm so pleased that you gave it a go even though infidelity and reincarnation are not things you would normally read. It was painful for me to have Merlin cheat on Gwaine, too, so I'm really happy it wasn't too much for you to handle.
So so pleased the tension was so vivid for you, too. Thanks so much for commenting :)
