... and the condo is mine!

At home today, waiting for another mover to come and give an estimate. This one sounds exactly like David Tennant on the phone. Which is a little unusual for southwest Ohio.

Congratulations! And I think you simply have to engage that mover, if only to find out what he looks like. Could be interesting ;-)

The mover visited today to do his quote. He had a fairly ordinary, fairly sunburned Caledonian face. But he did a good job on the estimate, asked intelligent questions, etc. His company is in at least second place in the running. I'm waiting to see what his actual quote is.

ETA: the movers are getting increasingly competitive, offering incentives (like free boxes for my packing, which they will deliver to me) to get me to pick them. I suppose that if home purchases are slow, moving companies must be languishing.

Well, the mover was all business when he did his estimate. This may have had something to do with S. turning up on an unrelated matter and sprawling on the sofa, looking as proprietary as he knew how. I told him later that if the mover *had* looked like David Tennant, I would have introduced him as "my cousin".

Oh, you meant as a *mover*! Well, that too!
