Everything is as it is in canon, except this: Arthur has been able to read minds since he was born. That's it, nothing more, nothing less. And not in the, 'i can turn it off if I want to," but more in the Mel Gibson in What Woman Want or Mao in Code Geass manner; he just hears them. Of course, living his whole life, he gets used to it, but still. He can read minds. It gets worse when Merlin comes along because Merlin is hiding a huge fucking secret and worse, he thinks about it all the bloody time.

So, canon, if Arthur could read minds. Please include: Gwen thinking his ass is nice, Morgana thinking not-very-maidenly thoughts about Uther, and Merlin waking him up on a hunting trip because he had a sex dream. Bonus points if said sex dream is about Arthur. Superbonus points if somehow it leads to real sex.
