Plan [18]: Back again.

Mar 06, 2008 00:48

Everything seems to be back to normal -- good, good. An interesting experience, to be sure, but it's rather nice to be in, uh, familiar territory again? Also, everyone seems to be doing well, with very few exceptions. As far as experiments go, this truly seemed the most benign. I hope our luck holds out.

announcements, risk board housewarming gift plz?, moving!, bye bye vagigi, those brainy types, event end, need manly activities nao

That's masculine for you? But yes, I would like that.

[Aya's waiting behind the door with a bottle of something strong tucked under one of his arm, blanket under the other.] Hey. [He's leaning against the wall beside Caesar's door.] Ready to go?

[He grins happily at the sight of Aya.] Aa, just a minute! [And ducks back into his room to grab his coat. A few minutes later, he's out in the hallway, pushing his wings through the back.] Okay. Time for grand adventure, huh?

I guess so. [Aya says quietly, his tone of voice amused. It's good to see him again, not that Aya had minded him being her, but he's glad things are back to normal again.] Lets go then. [And with that he starts towards the stairs.]

[Likewise, Caesar is pleased to see the Aya he's used to, as pleasant to look at and touch as he'd been as a woman. At the prospect of stairs yet again, Caesar makes a face.] I suppose you won't carry me this time, either, huh?

Nope. You're stuck with walking. [Aya snorts at him, and would reach other to tug on Caesar's hair if both of his hands weren't occupied already. ]You were the one gathering the brain power of Luceti. I'm sure someone could invent an elevator for you.

Figured it was worth a shot. [He grins at Aya.] Brain power or not, I'm a tactician, and we seem to be shy on inventors. If the Malnosso had acquired Adlai, we'd be set, and he'd build us some.

An elevator would be nice. Maybe with a nice elevator girl like Shizu.

Adlai? [Aya asks curiously as they walk slowly up the stairs. There's no hurry anywhere so he keeps the pace even slower than the last time.] I'm pretty sure a lot of people here know the basic principle of an elevator, myself included. All we need is someone with an ability to build one. And maybe there's a girl out there who would become your 'elevator girl', too. [He's teasing, but it's hard to tell from his tone of voice, which is just as faceless as before.]

Mmhmm. Adlai and Kamondohl were two of the most influential inventors of our time, back home. Adlai had a habit of picking strange things to create ... like the elevator, which he proceeded to equip in castles all over the continents. [He tips his his head, thinking.] We'll see about it. I think, if one is willing to allow themselves to be pulled several dozen feet into the air, they might appreciate that it's not going to malfunction in some bizarre way. And no one could ever beat Shizu.

Mmnn... [Aya nods, listening to Caesar rather than commenting on anything.] Heh. [He glances at Caesar from the corner of his eye, wondering if it'd be obvious that nothing he'd build would work. It might as well be.] Don't be so quick in disregarding every idea. The basic function of an elevator is merely physics, I was decent in it back in school. There's bound to be someone here who could figure out... [He grimaces, biting his teeth together a bit frustratedly.] Another day, right? It's just frustrating to watch all these people to just roll over and let Malnosso do what they want.

[Caesar opens his mouth to say something about that, but then shuts it abruptly. He really doesn't want spend his time with Aya arguing, after all.] Aa. Later. Unless you need to vent, anyway, hmm?

[Aya frowns at him, for a moment thinking of insisting to know what Caesar was about to say. But he thinks better off it, shrugging a bit and looking ahead when they ascend the stairs slowly.]

[Caesar gives pause at the frown, but doesn't push it, either -- he's really not in the mood for arguments. Instead, he simply follows Aya up the stairs, a little grateful that he's taking his time.]

[The silence will stretch as long as Caesar will wish so. Aya travels up the stairs quietly, listening to Caesar's breathing while he goes.]

[He's too busy trying to not look like a complete wuss to really say much, not that he's got a lot to say at the moment. Though, he does spend quite a lot of the rest of the trip looking at Aya with a silly smile on his face.]

[Aya pauses at the top of the stairs, handing out the stuff he was carrying to Caesar, along with a nuzzle to his hair.] I'll go pull out the ladder. [And with that, he's gone, shifting to the deep shadows of the hallway silently.]
