The PC version has had several patches. Initially the game was so poorly coded that it was nearly unplayable. I often couldn't even make it through the development stages (the baby/teenager/escape stuff) without a complete meltdown, and corruption of my savegames. I don't know what X-box does for patches, but even the PS3 version has managed a couple of updates. It's almost entirely playable now, although there are still a lot problems with the radio.

Yeah, I had downloaded an update before I even started playing.

I googled about and then did something involving the hard drive, and then it asked me to install the update again, and now it appears to be working.

I blame microsoft.
